Wobbly Start for Knight

Protestors denounce candidate for coddling the production artists.

Activists angrily take to the streets to protest Goddess Knight's presidential bid.

Pacifica, California.,  9/18/2000 -- The burgeoning campaign of SINthia Knight was rocked by protests today, just hours after she declared her candidacy.  Chanting, "She's a !!@#??# (and they did not mean it) ... She's a !!@#??# (and they did not mean it)", about a thousand demonstrators  denounced the candidate as a tired old lefty.

Ms. Knight responded, "I'm NOT Old"

When asked for a comment, protestor Rev. Al Sharpton burst into tears crying, "SINthia is running for President?  Do we want her finger on the nuclear trigger?  And think about it, where has that finger been?"

Campaign spokesman Joel Robinson said the candidate was shocked by the protests. "It's a dirty trick. We suspect it's the work of Pat Buchanan. He's terrified of our momentum and will do anything to stop us." Robinson said the candidate does not find it easy to get her message across. "You've got a lot of campaigns... most well funded. It's not easy. She won't even lie to the voters.  That really limits my options."
